Siddh Shri Radha Krishna Temple (JK Temple), Kanpur, will continue its grand Shri Ramleela Mahotsav 2026 celebrations on 18th October 2026, presenting the fifth day of the seven-day festival dedicated to the divine life, teachings, and ideals of Bhagwan Shri Ram.

The evening will bring to life one of the most dramatic and pivotal chapters of the sacred Ramayana, Sita Haran, through traditional theatrical performances, expressive dialogues, and devotional storytelling.

The programme will open in the forest of Panchavati, where Bhagwan Shri Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman Ji are living in exile. Angered by the humiliation of his sister Surpanakha, Ravan devises a plan and sends the demon Marich in the form of a dazzling golden deer to lure Shri Ram away from the hermitage.

As Mata Sita expresses her wish for the golden deer, Bhagwan Shri Ram sets out in pursuit. When a deceptive cry for help echoes through the forest, Lakshman Ji is compelled to leave Mata Sita's side, drawing the sacred Lakshman Rekha around the hermitage for her protection.

The highlight of the evening will be the abduction of Mata Sita, as Ravan arrives disguised as a sage seeking alms and carries her away in his celestial chariot. The performance will also portray the courageous sacrifice of Jatayu, the noble vulture king, who fights valiantly to rescue Mata Sita.

Together, these sacred presentations will offer devotees an opportunity to reflect upon the triumph of devotion over deceit, the importance of vigilance, and the selfless courage that lies at the heart of Sanatan Dharma.

The spiritual surroundings of JK Temple will further enrich the celebration as devotees and families gather to witness these divine episodes through traditional Ramleela performances.

All devotees, families, and visitors are warmly invited to attend Day 5 of Shri Ramleela Mahotsav 2026 and become part of an inspiring evening celebrating the divine journey of Bhagwan Shri Ram and Mata Sita.
